All three parts of The Cabin arc have now been posted on Ao3. I need to finish Sin of Survival, The Last Battle, Aftermath, Elements and the demonboi and I need to finish Bittere. If anyone is interested I can post what I have but I have no idea when any of it will be finished.

And we're off and running on Book 2 of Sakura Blades. Got twice as many words to add to this one as we did to Book 1 but we're on track and can see places where expansion is necessary.

It's so good to be writing with m_barnette again. He inspires me all the time and has coaxed my own muse out of hiding.

I always write to music and I like the music to be in keeping with whatever I'm writing - hard rock for contemporary, j-rock for work set in Japan etc. etc. At the moment I'm looking for music that would fit in with fae/fairy themes (big clue there). If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I've uploaded the first 2 chapters of Do Not Go Gentle - Book 2 Another Time Another Place. I might get a couple more uploaded today but no promises as I'm busily writing a new fanfic and plotting out a new original fiction that has me very excited.

I've been a busy bee today and uploaded two thirds of Do Not go Gentle Book 1 to Ao3. Hope everyone enjoys and the last third will go up tomorrow.

Well I've opened accounts at both archiveofourown and angelfire. I'm thinking that the former will be used for my fanfic and the latter for original fic as I have no publishers now.

I've also opened an account at DW. Same name as here so I'm easy to find.

First fics should be up at archiveof our own later today.

I know, I know! I have a damned cheek asking for help after 18 months of silence. I have been here, just not writing or posting or doing much of anything really.

Anyway, after lengthy searching in lj settings etc. I still can't find how to change the links. Those shown at the moment are either defunct or no longer apply to me. Please somebody help me.

I can't believe how long it is since I posted anything either here or on my fanfic site. Life in the form of severe illness over the winter then catching up with everything after I recovered has got in the way.

I don't know if any of you have suffered break ins but I have and after the last one yesterday I'm left wondering what more I can do to protect my home and property against these people.

I have to wonder what goes through their minds when they come into my home, frighten my cats and take my things - this time it was the laptop I'm still paying for and a cheap mobile phone. Luckily they didn't find my debit and credit cards.

This is the third break in I've had at this house and I just hope it will be the last. Somehow I doubt that though. I guess I will have to take anything of value up to my bedroom in future.

I still wonder what they think though. Do they have any idea of the pain they cause? The fear? The violation? How would they feel if it were their home, their things? What if they had to pay money they could ill afford for new windows?

As for reporting it to the police all I ever get is a crime number for insurance purposes, which would be fine if I could afford the insurance premiums the constant break ins cause. Talk about vicious circle!

For those waiting for updates on the fanfic site, I'm sorry I haven't caught up with it yet but life has been pretty hectic this year and the next month or two don't look as if they're going to be any quieter.

On the published original fiction front, Angels and Demons, the follow up series to Fallen Angels is doing well. Sweepers is being overhauled for republishing with a different publisher. I am also working on follow up stories to The Gathering and the Vampires series'.

Back to the hectic schedule!

Don't get me wrong, I had a good Christmas spent with my son and grandchildren. They were as good as gold and the whole visit was quite delightful. Chances are I'm feeling a bit anti-climatic.

New Year? I've lived through enough of them to know that one is very much like another over all. All years have their ups and downs, some worse than others. My mood isn't helped by taking a look at the resolutions I made on this very journal last year, and realising I didn't achieve even one of them! So no resolutions this year. Definitely not.

I'll probably scoff a box of After Eights and down a couple of glasses of Baileys while I watch the fireworks on the London Eye on my TV but that's the only concession I'm making to 2010.
