The New Manager
Oct. 26th, 2005 07:00 pmSome of you might remember my post a while back where I laid out my worries about the old manager leaving and a new one starting. So far my worries seem to have been unfounded as the new guy seems very pleasant. He's changed a few things round, most of which make perfect sense and he seems to genuinely care about the place.
Perhaps I was worrying unnecessarily after all. And yet...
I suppose it has to do with trust and although he seems pleasant enough I don't yet trust him the way I trusted our old manager. Maybe I don't need trust in the workplace but it would be nice.
Gah! Crying for the moon as usual!

Work Concerns
Sep. 20th, 2005 02:00 pmMy manager is leaving on Monday. He's a good manager and will always try to let us have the days off that we need for our lives outside work. We will miss him.
What bothers me is what sort of replacement we will get and whether the club will go down hill because of it. Our current manager threw out all the types likely to cause trouble and even at four am I feel safe with our regulars. If this does not continue and I have to deal with drunken hooligans I may well have to leave.
I don't really want to leave as I've got to like both the job and the money but I've come to realise just how much our current manager proteceted us.
Having said all that, I wish him the best of luck in his new job.
